ObamaSpeechesCorpus: a student project

This scenario shows the application of linguistic tools (in this case: Natural Language Toolkit [NLTK], MMAX2, and GATE) to the task of analysing political speeches by Barack Obama.

The analysis comprises established register features, discourse structure, cohesion, rhetorical structure modeled on the basis of Rhetorical Structure Theory, and thematic development.
