Named Entity Recognition and Classification: A Machine Learning Approach

*

Keywords: named entity recognition, NER, Machine Learning

http://www.linguisticsweb.org/doku.php?id=linguisticsweb:tutorials:linguistics_tutorials_linguistic_processing_scenarios:named_entity_recognition

This tutorial is not about using one of the existing pre-trained named entity recognizers (NERs). Instead, it tells you how to prepare training and test data and how to train a named entity recognizer. It also tells you how to perform a test and an evaluation of the so-gained NER.
